Howto_Use_Catcher_Tools(如何使用MTK Catcher)

1. Idle screen, input *#36633# to enter Engineer Mode. 2. Select “Device”->”Set UART”->”UART Setting” 3. Please set as the below:

TST-PS Config: UART 1 115200 PS Config: None 115200 TST-L1 Config: None 115200

4. Press OK then auto power off.

Step2: Connect phone to PC with UART cable (NOT USB cable).

Step3: Run Catcher Tools:

1. Run Catcher.exe, and then press “Logging mode” button to startup catcher tools.

2. Select the database file (as BPLGUInfoCustomAppSrcP_*):

When you startup catcher tools in the first time, catcher tools will popup “The database file does not exist!”, then you should select the correct database file.

Also, you can set database path via “Config” menu.

3. Press “Configure RS232” button to config UART port. Please only select the correct Port of UART in the PC which has been connected with Phone, don’t change other settings.

4. Press “Connect” button to start catching log.

5. Filter setting:

Sometime, maybe need to set “All Classes On”.

6. If succeed to configure, you can see the window as the below.

Operate the phone to re-occur the issue, the log message will be recorded.

If no log message displaying in the window, please try “Disconnect” then “Coneect”.

7. Save the log message to a file.

Please disconnect the catcher, then press “Save as” button to save the log to an assigned file.

Then you can find the log file in the assigned location, such as “Log1.clg”.
