原标题：美国加大中国留学生缺课被开除遣返学费一分不退

据美国侨报网报道，美国加州大学尔湾分校(UCI)的同学讲述，最近该校一名刚刚入学几个月的中国留学生因为上课多次缺勤，超过美国移民局规定的时限，被校方开除，并遭移民局遣返回国。

据认识这名同学的尔湾加大留学生透露，这名遭遣返的中国留学生和他们一同就读加州大学尔湾分校的国际学生本科预科部(International Undergraduate Preparation Program，IUPP)，已经预交了一学年的学费5万多美金。

事实上，这名留学生在尔湾加大只读了3个多月便遭遣返，而且学校一分学费也没退。IUPP国际生本科预科部是加州大学专门为国际学生开设的的语言课程项目，国际留学生入学第一年专修英文课程，过语言关。

据悉，尔湾加大的学期安排属于季度课程制，每3个月完成一季课程。同期入学的预科部留学生表示，这位被校方开除的中国留学生应该仅仅完成了一个季度的课期。

但是据说他上课出勤没有达到学校规定的要求，校方相关部门曾发邮件和他本人联系，也许是该同学疏忽大意，或者有语言障碍，没有意识到严重性，并没有理会，最后遭学校直接开除，停止学生签证I-20，相应学生身份失效被遣返。

记者就此联系了尔湾加大校方国际学生部门，发言人表示，根据美国联邦法规，校方不便透露学生的隐私信息。如果提供学生姓名等个人信息，他们只能告知该学生是否仍然在校方的学生名册名单里。

他也表示，很多原因将导致学校作出开除学生的举措。学生缺课超过规定，校方会警告本人，如果屡教不改，校方将不得不采取进一步措施。对于国际学生，课时不能达到移民局相关规定，学生签证I-20表将会失效，不再合法居留美国。
