摘要：An apparatus (36), and an associated method, for a portable electronic device,such as a wireless device, to determine luminescence of an object of interest (38).
Ultraviolet A (UVA), or other appropriate, light energy is caused to be generated at aflicker rate. Images of the object of interest are recorded both when the UVA lightenergy is incident on the object of interest and in the absence of incidence of the UVAlight energy on the object of interest. The images are compared, and a determination ismade of the luminescence of the object of interest.
