PARTⅠ FOREWORD

For years, the Chinese government has been enlarging the admission rate of college students. However, as the beneficial owners, we are now facing the severe unemployment problem. So as a Chinese old saying, “The early bird catches the worms”. Only you have a plan for your future career, you will have the opportunity to succeed. So career development plan is quite essential for every undergraduate, it is the first step to realize our dreams.

PARTⅡ PESONALITY ANALYSES

1. Myself and others’ appraisal

As for the things I don’t like, I would speak them out and sometimes may hurt somebody’s feelings. On the other side, I am a little quiet; I need some private space sometimes. I like reading books, watching some video or listening to the music. As for the unfamiliar ones, I will feel uncomfortable and show as a coward when I am chatting with them.

I have a lot of interests, traveling, reading, music, surfing the internet, calligraphy, hosting. I major science in my senior high school while I major English in my college. I think I have both a science and art mind; I am good at observation and very sensible of the environment.

My pesonality type is AE (Artistic / Enterprising).

That means I don’t have a fixed personality (Because according to the chart, the A and E are not close and have S between them.). However, above them, my “Artistic” is full score, which means I have the ability of creating and designing something. I also enjoy being alone and not fit for team work. The “Enterprising” is high, too. Which means I have the ability of management and fit for the jobs involving sales and PR.

The results seem to be accordant with myself and others’ appraisal.

PART Ⅲ E-COMMERCE ENGLISH ANALYSES

1. Orientations

I major in E-Commerce English. English is one of the most important language subjects. The aim is to develop inter-disciplinary talents in English orientation. Because of that we also study computer science and economy. The discipline requires students know well about English art, history, diploma, economy, culture of the English speaking countries. So the range of choosing jobs is large. We can find jobs related to international trade, teaching, business company, translating, reporting, English editing, English tour guide, and also civil servants. Since we are Northeast Normal University, so being a teacher in middle school, college, vocational school is also a marvellous choice. Except from those, going abroad to find a job is really heated recent years.

2. Futures

At present time, English has become a tool which more and more people can make good use of, and the demand for English majors decreases compared with 10 or 20 years ago. While the supply of English major graduate is increase every year, which cause a severe problem in the job market. At the same time, the standard for English majors rises steadily every year. If you want to work in metropolises, you may be required a master or doctor degree. And also your grades should be excellent. What’s more, the organization also recruits those who have work experience. There are no advantages for whom just graduating from university.

According to the data that the English Education Committee shows, the traditional English majors, who are developed based on previous experiences, just obtain a single skill. While the aim of the E-commerce English is to develop the inter-disciplinary talents. The future for the e-commerce English is very bright, because students have three vital skills - English, computer, economy knowledge. Especially the E-Commerce has developed enormously

recent years, so the future of the E-commerce English still has a large space, definitely.

PART Ⅳ MY IDEAL JOBS AND SWOT ANALYSES

As English majors, my ideal careers are the followings.  An English translator for the foreign companies  A civil servant working for the government  A senior high school or college teacher.
