关于全球化的英语作文My view on cultural globalization

As is known to all, globalization is the main tendency in contemporary society. It reflects on almost every aspect of our daily life, especially in cultural. When it comes to cultural globalization, opinions vary from one person to another. Of course I have my own view.

Every coin has two sides, and cultural globalization is no exception. On the one hand, cultural globalization can benefit us a lot. First of all, We are able to achieve a better communication. With the development of cultural globalization, some kind of culture which is universally understood and accepted is coming into being. For want of a better word to name it, we may as well call it globalized cultures. Through it we can make friends with those who come from different countries. Second, different cultures will be available to all of us. That is to say we can have a feast of the diversity of culture. Last but not the least, cultural globalization can promote the growth of world’s economy in turn. Different people know each other’s cultural background, so a lot of disputes will be avoided. I suppose it will not be that difficult for businessmen who hold the similar or even the same belief to reach an agreement.

On the other hand, many withdraws are still very obvious. For instance, some countries are strong enough to conquer other countries. The United States is the best example, I guess. It’s cultural output can be

seen everywhere. KFC, Macdonald’s, Barbie as well as Disneyland are spring up all over the world. Some countries’ new generation focus too much on them. It will be dangerous for a country to pick up imported goods, while set their own essence. At the same time, cultural globalization may destroy the diversity of cultures to some extent, if it develops out of control.

Ever since the reforming and opening, we Chinese are more and more exposed to various culture. In view of the strengths and weaknesses mentioned above, we must attach great attention to this kind of cultural phenomenon.

Protect our own cultures while melt others, and we will benefit from cultural globalization.
