Teaching contents: Unit 4 Feelings Part 4 Teaching aims:
1. The pupils learn to use the sentences: He is (scared). She is (angry).
2. The pupils can communicate with others using “How are you feeling?” or “How is she/he feeling?”
Important and difficult teaching points:
1. The pupils can master the sentences: He is (scared).She is (angry). 2. The pupils can communicate with others fluently using “How are you feeling?
Teaching aids:
1. Cassette recorder 2. Word cards with pictures Class hour: 1 class Teaching process
Step 1 Greetings and communications T: Hello! Everybody~ S: Hello! Miss Zhang T: Are you tired? S1 :( No).
T: How are you feeling today?
S3:(尽量帮助学生回答出来)I’m happy. T: How are you feeling today? S4 :( I’m tired).
Step 2 Language puzzle Circle the right name.
1. Teach “he” and “she”. (教师随意的走到同学中去,指着男生说he, he, he,指着女生则说she, she, she.尽量多说一些,然后拿出he和she的卡片教读.)
2. Practice “he” and “she”.
(1)Play a game. (让学生自由指着本组的男女生说he or she).
(2)Play another game (每组的学生作出各种不同表情,则让另一组派一名声音宏亮的学生说He is scared. She is happy等)。 3. Do the language puzzle and circle the right name.
4. Check the answers as a whole class.
Step 3 Learn the sentence pattern. 教读以下句子。
How are you feeling? I am happy/I’m happy. How is he feeling? He is sad/ He’s sad. How is she feeling?
She is angry/ She’s angry. Step 4 Sentence drill. Do an Interview
1. T:How are you feeling? S1:I’m (happy).
T:How is he feeling? S2: He’s (sad).
2. Let the pupils ask and answer in groups.
3. Let the pupils make the interviews and complete the chart in this unit.
Step 5 Homework
Ask the pupils to play a game with their parents using what they have learned in this unit.
