Unit 4 Going Outing

◆教材分析 This is the forth unit of the fifth grade English book Making plans, which requires students to talk about their vacation experiences based on the original English knowledge and use the appropriate sentence patterns for skilled questioning and description. ◆教学目标 【知识目标】

T: How do you go to school?

Step 2. Warm-up 1. Listen and look. 2. Answer the questions: (1) Does she like hiking?

(2) How often does she go to see the doctor? Step 3. Presentation

1. T: Gogo never takes a subway to school. 2. T: Jenny sometimes takes a car to school. 3. T: Tony usually takes a taxi to school. 4. T: Ben always rides a bike to school. 5. Ss follow the tape to read all the words.

6. T: Now talk about how you go to school with your desk mate. Step 4 Practice

1. Read, Listen, and check.

T: How does Tony get to school? Does he ever take a taxi to school? Let’s listen to the tape, then answer my questions. 2. Ss read after the tape.

3. Ss practice the dialogue, then read together. Ask, answer and write. Step 5. Reading and Writing

1. T: Turn to Page 50, here’s a bus. What should we pay attention to when we take a bus? I’ll give you ten minutes to read it and finish Part 2.

2. T: Times up. Are Xiaoqiang and his mom on the bus? S1:No.

1. Ask the Ss to listen to the song:Every day I take the bus 2. Ss follow the tape to sing the song.

3. After practicing several times,Ss sing together. 4. Ss finish the lyrics and T check the answers. Step 7. Pronunciation

1.T:I always walk to school with talking to my friend. Once,I saw a tall man playing a ball. Then the small cat took the ball.

(Underline the letter “y” in “talk, walk ,always,ball ,tall ,small”) T: Look at these words.

T: Yes, repeat. A-L, / ɔ: /. ( Ss: A-L, / ɔ: /.) 2. Ss follow the tape to read all the words. 3. Ss read in groups. 4. 4. Ss read together.

5. Ask Ss to ind more words with with “al” Step 8. Reading

1.T:There are different names for the subway all over the world. Let's see what they are. Then Finish the Part 2. 2. Check the answers.

3.T translates the sentences to let the Ss know more about it. 4. Finish the rest part in P51 and P55. 5. Check the answers together. Step 9. Language points

always, usually, often, sometimes, never等表示时间频度的副词通常用来说明在一段时间内做某事的多少或某种状态存在的次数的多少。例如:

We usually get up at half past six. 我们通常六点半起床。

Sometimes he goes to see his grandpa on weekends. 周末,他有时候去看望爷爷。 但是,在日常生活中,我们不可能总是用陈述句来表达自己的或他人的一些行动,或者

事物所存在的状态。我们还要向对方提出一些问题,请求对方回答。在这种情况下,我们还要用疑问句。请看下面几组对话:

1. —How often do you play football? —I usually play football after school. 2. —How often does Mary go to the concert? —She often goes to it on Saturday evening.

3. —How often does my daughter take the medicine? —Three times a day.

针对上面所说的频度副词和表示“在某段时间内某种动作的次数”的状语提问时,都要用how often。要注意的是,陈述句在变成这种特殊疑问句时,其结构是:How often+助动词(或系动词 be)+主语+实义动词(如果前面是系动词be的某种形式,则不再用实义动词)+其它成分? Step 10. Homework 1. Copy the vocabularies. 2. Read the Target.
