摘要：A method and system for estimating the load acting on a tire, wherein data areobtained, representative of the deformation undergone by the tire on a rolling surface.

The data obtained are processed in order to obtain a first quantity representative of thedeformation extent within a first deformation region substantially corresponding to thefootprint between the tire and the rolling surface and a second quantity, different fromthe first quantity, representative of the deformation extent in a second deformationregion, the second region including the first deformation region and having acircumferential extension greater than the circumferential extension of the first

deformation region, the second quantity being obtained starting from at least a part ofthe obtained data, which corresponds to a portion of the second deformation regionwhich is external to the footprint. The load is estimated based on the first quantity andon the second quantity thus obtained.
