Section 3:Striding toward Freedom"Do your work so well that no one could do it better.Do it so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will have to say: Here lived a man who did his job as if GodAlmighty called him at this particular time in history to do it.";;Martin Luther King,Jr.
"We can no longer lend our cooperation to an evil
system."claimed Dr.King after Rosa's case in Montgomery. Rosa was a hard-working, dignified black woman who refused to lend seat to a white woman on the bus and was arrested by the police. Her behavior was recognized by Martin as one that "tracked down by the zeitgeist, the spirit of the times." Finally the group decided to organize a boycott. If the black people of Montgomery refused to ride the buses, the bus company would lose about 75 percent of its business.“我们再也不能向邪恶的制度妥协。”
White citizens found it hard to believe the determination of the black community.Throughout the city, they saw only eight passengers. Some people rode mules. Others drove horse-drawn buggies. People with cars shared them.

Hundreds of people walked to show their commitment.
Montgomery Improvement Association(MIA) was founded to conduct the movement and elected Dr.King as its leader.
Before every demonstration and boycott, Dr.King would emphasize his nonviolent belief, "We will be guided by the highest principles of law and order. Our actions must be guided by the deepest principles of our Christian faith. Love must be our regulation ideal!"
After arrested numerous times by the police for some nonsense reasons and witnessing his family suffering from the endless bombs and attections, Dr.King, still, sticked to his nonviolence principle and told the furious crowd that "If you have weapons, take them home; if you do not have them, please do not seek them. We cannot solve this problem through violence. We must meet violence with nonviolence. Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, pry for them that despitefully use you. Remember this movement will not stop, because God is with it.

"If you hold fast to your nonviolent program, your opponent will gain respect for you. If your campaign succeeds, it will not be by defeating him but by removing his hostility."“只要我们坚持我们的非暴力政策,我们就会赢得敌人的尊重。
Little by little and day by day, they were learning to stand up bravely against a cruel and unjust tradition, which could be observed from their attitude toward the Ku Klux Klan. They stood openly on porches as if they were watching a parade, drawing an absolutely countradiction to before.
Their action also gained admiration from some white people. But the most of the white population were iritated by them.
